Welcome to the country inn “Zum Grünen Baum”
Since 1884, the fate of the restaurant and guesthouse “Zum Grünen Baum” has been in the hands of the Schnatz family.
Father Roland (deceased since 2018) handed over the country inn to his son Timmy in 2012, representing the fifth generation. Since then, together with his mother Maria, he has been taking care of the guests’ physical well-being at the cooker with a cultivated, home-style cuisine.
In addition to its many delicious specialities, the Landgasthof also offers a whole range of freshly tapped beers (7 different), as the cooperation with Eder’s brewery has also existed for over 110 years.
Finally, Leidersbach is a popular destination for hikes in the nearby Spessart and Odenwald, as well as for shopping in the local fashion shops.
The “Grüner Baum” with its pleasant atmosphere and varied menu is also a very popular address. Every Wednesday and Saturday the chef offers his legendary “beef with horseradish”, on Thursdays he always prepares fresh beef liver for his guests and every Friday he invites you to “Burger Day”, where a large selection of different burgers is served. Every Saturday, the highlight of the day is a grandiose variation of different schnitzels for visitors to choose from.
With its regional and international specialities, as well as the Sunday buffet from 11:30 a.m., special weeks such as the asparagus season and fish specialities, the “Grüner Baum” has always enjoyed a great reputation. In fine weather, the sun terrace with its idyllic view of the Spessart landscape invites you to linger in comfort. The “Grüner Baum” is a popular venue for social gatherings and the party service for celebrations at home.
The guest room, which will be completely renovated in 2019, offers guests a pleasant stay with its modern yet rustic charm.
